After going through the checklist above, I must wholeheartedly agree with …Steve Jobs. The problem is, Netbooks aren't better at anything ---that matters!

Will anybody use the eePC for photoshop, movie editing, CAD, 3D modeling or animation? …I did not think so. For everything else that anyone would want to use the eePC: web browsing, email, you tube, photos, video watching, or office apps, the iPad just blows the eePC out of the water.

iPad is the future; most folks seem afraid to let the old ways of doing things go, and I can appreciate that. It's happened before, when the Mac first came out we were told that one day all computers will work like that. And just like today, hordes of PC users scoffed at the Mac. Those were the days of the first graphic interface and the first mouse. Folks with DOS machines were doing their little performance checklist, not unlike like the one above. We all know now how that turned out.

Heck, the same thing was said about the iPhone; the other phones with their keyboards, storage capacity, and bigger cameras. Yep, we all know now how that turned out as well.

The iPad is going to be about Cloud computing so who needs those big hard disks anymore; printing and sharing files will be wireless; and any other specialized inexpensive adapters such as those for flash cards from cameras, can be obtained for those who need it.

I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that once people begin handling this amazing machine, it will all be clear. The iPad will be the best and fastest digital experience anyone can hope for - at half the weight of the plastic eePC. The iPad will revolutionizes the way we consume, access, and organize media and information. And I say that as someone with a quad core i7 computer with 2 terabytes of storage, 16 megabytes of RAM and 27" dual monitor set up.

I can't wait to get my hands on my very own iPad.

See the thing is that this checklist although true points out things the average NetBook user could give a sh*t about.. iPad has the best mobile browser, the same as in the iPhone. It doesn't NEED flash to be great.. HTML5 will take care of the lack of flash.. Plus most mobile developers realize that people will view their websites on iPhones and iPods (and now iPads). The apps people will write for this will be simply amazing.. Adobe has already made a decent version of Photoshop for iPhone.. With the iPad I can't wait to see what they do with it.. The Apple A4 Processor can handle what a NetBook struggles with in half the GHz! (A4= 1GHz vs. Atom=1.6-2GHz) Plus iPad is not power hungry at all with it being able to watch 10 hours of HD videos! The truth is its all in the software. iPhone OS 3.2 is a derivative of the popular iPhone OS, which is a derivative of Mac OS X. OS X is great at optimizing hardware to perform tasks, which translates to iPhones and iPads. So that is why the iPad will end up taking over the NetBook market..

Look at the iPhone when it launched. Feature for feature it didn\'t have half the features a typical smart phone did and yet today it is by far the best selling handset on the market.

With apple it\'s not about the list of things it can\'t do... but the things that it does flawlessly well. Updates and revisions are one of the best parts of owning an apple product. You know that when you buy something not only does it work great out of the box but every few months new and exciting updates get added on top of that.

It\'s the reason PC users like their machines and Mac users LOVE their macs.

I will gladly pass on something that does 100 things badly for an item that does 1 thing perfectly.

Not to mention you\'re paying for the knowledge that apple will only improve and upgrade the ipad from the moment you buy it.

You are completely missing the point. It\'s not that the iPad does not have those features. Its the fact that the Netbook is inferior in all those features (save for price) to a full laptop.

The iPad will be used for things it can do better than a smartphone or a laptop and a hell of a lot better than a netbook. You need to make another diagram.

Web browsing, E-mail, Music, Photos. Who really tries to do more than that on a netbook? People who own netbooks usually have home computers that they do anything advanced on. So when you make a relevant checklist, its fairly simple. Call me a fanboy if you will, i have owned a iphone for about 2 months and i think its the best investment i have ever made.
