- the atheism poster had nothing to do with Christianity per se, it could be put up by someone of any other of the billions of religions that exist in the world.

- yo, i'm christian. in our religion the eating flesh thing is not symbolic, it's considered as a real thing (it's a part of our believings). For the rest, you also forgot that ours it the LOLLEST god of all time.

- actually, it is symbolic. seeing as bread isn't actually flesh, it's therefore, by definition, a symbol. and christ said to the apostles to eat the bread and drink the wine as a SYMBOL of their devotion. if you're gonna be a christian, you might as well read the manual

- you failed. at the beginning of the statement it says "the belief that", so there is no need to specify the metaphorical origin of the Eucharist, since we believe that every time we eat the Christ's flesh and blood. Anyway, if we believed in a metaphor that would be quite fun.
